Connecting Creative Education

In 2025, Jack founded the Student Services Network, bringing together colleagues from NIDA, the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the National Art School (NAS).

While each institution is different, they share many of the same opportunities and challenges in supporting students undertaking intensive creative education.

The Network created an opportunity for people working across student services to step outside their individual institutions, share ideas, discuss challenges and learn from one another.

For Jack, some of the best ideas come from simply getting the right people in a room and starting a conversation.

What began as an opportunity to connect colleagues has continued to develop into a community of practice focused on improving the experience of students across Australia's specialist creative education institutions.
