A win! A chance for change!

Jack's time at the University of Sydney came to an end in June, 2023.

Over the past six years, Jack has learnt a lot about himself, the complexities of a large organisation, the power of passionate students and the importance of meaningful connections within the workplace.

Over the past year, Jack's team and the way they worked, needed to change to align with industry and to continue providing a world-class student experience. They were faced with a restructure, a process that was long and drawn out due to reviews and requests for input. A restructure is never easy on the team, but a vital part of the puzzle to ensure that workflows, strategic objectives and operational outcomes are achieved for the organisation at large.

Jack was saddened to see my role removed from the University of Sydney team, but pleased to see the Student Experience and Residential Life teams grow by over 250% FTE. Meaning the work the team and Jack have done over the past four years is seen as very important. A larger and newly structured team is just needed to do this work moving forward. A structure in which, Jack was pleased to have created, pitched and seen ingrained into the orgainsation.
