In early 2013, Jack had an idea and wanted to share it with the Central West. He wanted to bring a creative art and drama workshop series to Parkes to allow the children within the community to a creative outlet within the school holidays. The workshops continued for the following three years.

They are conducted by Communications (Theatre/Media) student Jack Thomson at the Parkes Little Theatre.
‘The aim of the workshops was to give the students creative control and explore story telling in a way that is not taught in schools.,” Jack explained.
“As the week progressed, the students devised their own play to perform for parents and friends.
“With the use of games, exercises and arts and craft, the students brought their dreams and nightmares to life on stage.
‘The students had a great time, and so did I.
“Being able to give something back to the Parkes community is always a pleasure,” Jack said.
“I would like to thank Sam Noakes for helping out during the week and we all wish him the best of luck as he goes to study performance in Wollongong.”
